Why Build a Brand for Your Youtube ChannelBranding is just as important for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and content creators as it is for big business and high profile personalities. The trend right now is for the big guys to try to look more like small guys, because people naturally prefer to support independent brands.
Many small business, owners, and creators I talk to already understand that branding is essential, but a surprisingly high number of them don't really know why. They recognize the link between success and strong branding, and they understand that branding is not just a logo or how their business or channel is perceived. But they really don’t have a grasp of what it is. Branding is a way of defining your business to yourself, your team and your external audiences. It could also be called professional “identity”, because it embodies what you are about, including core values. It’s not just what you look and sound like. People are so savvy today that they can see through most efforts that attempt gloss, spin or charm them.
The benefits of a strategically defined brand are huge. When people connect emotionally - they share the same values and beliefs of that brand - it leads to higher subscribers, views, and sales. But as creators, more importantly, it leads to loyalty, and advocacy. It makes people want to share your brand as if it is a direct representation of themselves. Here are ten tips on how to successfully brand yourself, your channel, your business.

How to Start an Online Business with No Money and Be SuccessfulOnline Business Startup with no money; sounds too good to be true right? I'm here to tell you it's possible because people are doing it everyday. Make money from home with no startup fees by following these simple tips.
FREE WORKSHEET: http://eepurl.com/dlDM6T
This worksheet will help you focus on what you need to do to get started and be successful right away!
I’m going to tell you how to start a business with no money and still be successful. I’m serious.
In this video I'm going to be sharing some tips on how you can start a business with absolutely no money. Before I get too far into it I want to share something with you. There is this myth that you can't start a business without tons of money and it is simply not true. I’ve started two businesses with absolutely zero funds, and yes, anyone can do it.
When you decide that you want to go into a business, the key thing you have to focus on, is building your audience first. No matter what your business is, if you can build an audience, you can build a successful business. The key to building an audience is networking. A fantastic way to do this is get on social media like Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and search for groups that apply to what you're going to be doing and then get in there and genuinely get involved and Network. Be authentic, don't go there trying to sell something, your primary goal is to be a valuable contributor and make quality connections. Every day I spend time on Youtube learning about what other people are doing and trying to get a grasp of what people are interested in and need help with. If you have suggestions, please write me in the comments because I’m always looking for video ideas. Learn about what people are doing, what they're interested in what their needs are. The key to any successful business is relationship building and that's exactly what you are doing when you network.
The second thing you need to do is establish a strong social media presence I know there are a million social media platforms and it can be overwhelming so just pick one that is going to be best for your type of business, whether it is Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram it doesn’t matter. Focus on learning the platform inside and out and and do a fantastic job of establishing your social media presence and building a following. It isn’t rocket science and people get so hung up on trying to manage multiple accounts and it gets overwhelming and they don’t manage any of them well and that leads to fatigue, collapse and failure. The secret to any social media platform is consistency. I can’t stress that enough.
There will be days when you think that no one notices you and even though the online world is home to hundreds of millions of people you will feel completely alone. You have to push through that and just continue to be consistent and put good quality content out there for your audience to grasp onto. If you do, they will come.
Third tip is to get out of the house of offline and network with real live people. Never miss an opportunity to meet and tell people about what you are doing. People you meet and have real discussions with, will be one of the biggest assets you will ever have. Again they become part of your network and they will be key to you developing a really successful business.
The fourth and final tip is to be ridiculously consistent. I know it's easy to give up especially when you think that no one is paying attention to what you're doing but you can't give up. You just have to keep picking away at it. Consistency is what will ultimately be the foundation of you building a very successful business. once you have an audience that is dedicated and totally into what you're doing, you can survey them, talk to them find out what their needs are because every successful business is based on providing a solution to someone's need. I'm going to be talking a lot more about that in a future episode but I also have a worksheet to help you focus down on what we talked about today. It’s a free download and let me know if you think it was helpful. Also be sure to subscribe and hit me up with any questions or concerns you may have in the comments below.

Get SUBSCRIBERS and VIEWS fasterOne of the most common mistakes that people make when using YouTube to market their businesses is spending all of their time and effort on their own YouTube channel and their own YouTube videos. Remember: YouTube is a social networking platform and a community of millions of users.
One of the best ways to get more views for your videos and more channel subscribers is to interact with the community through watching and commenting on other videos.
Watching and commenting on others’ videos is fast and easy; take a look at videos related to your industry and posted by those respected in your industry (though it’s probably best to stay away from competitor videos in most cases). Respond to the video with a quick and intelligent comment—or even consider posting a response video.
What are the benefits of leaving comments on other YouTube videos?
You establish yourself as an expert. If your comments are written well, smart, and filled with useful information, others will take note of your knowledge—and perhaps ask you for more advice.
You connect with new people. Commenting on videos is a free and fast way to get your voice heard by a new audience.
You will increase your video views and profile views. If you say something interesting and unique, other readers will click on your profile, watch your videos, and subscribe to your channel.
You will see what’s popular on YouTube. Commenting on others’ videos in your industry means seeing others’ videos. It’s a great way to keep up with how others are utilizing online videos and also with what’s important to viewers.
YouTube isn’t just a place to post your own online videos, it’s also a place to interact with others in your industry, learn about your potential clients, and establish yourself as an authority in your field. Take a few minutes of your time to watch YouTube videos and make intelligent comments, and you will see results.

Why START a BUSINESS!Today is the perfect day to start a business and take control of your life.
We’re often encouraged to think that the secret to starting is a business is to have a bold and entirely original idea. But the suggestion here is that all we really need is to LOVE something a little more than most other people do: that will be enough to help us stand out from the competition.
Many of us want to start our own businesses. Public space is filled with reports of new ventures. But the reporting on entrepreneurship is heavily skewed in one particular direction: towards people who have started new kinds of businesses, pioneers who have pushed the boundaries of commerce by creating a wholly original offering, usually through the help of an innovative piece of technology...”

2018 Youtube Channel Lessons and ADVICE for BEGINNERSThis is a new Youtube channel for me, so yes I am new Youtuber. Here are the 3 important things I’ve learned as a new Youtuber.
If you are new to this channel and you like what you see, get subscribed and we can better stay i touch, also let me know what you think in the comments.
Here are 3 things I’ve learned since starting my Youtube channel.
1. Be consistent about posting videos
The best tip I can give you is to get your stuff out there!
Making good videos takes practice and you’ll only get better if you keep at it. If you’re freaked out that “video is not good enough”, or needs more editing, or it’s not what I thought”, then you’ll never publish anything!
You need to have a goal. That may be publishing 1 video a month or publishing 2 videos a week. Set a goal that you know you’ll be able to accomplish, and do your best to stick to it. You may not always feel 100% satisfied with what you are posting, but it’s important that you get your video out there and get started on the next one.
2. Learn to press the delete button
What you take out is just as important as what you leave in.
One of the things that can kill a potentially good video is too much of the same thing. Just because you shot 10 clips of the Eiffel Tower doesn’t mean we need to see all 10 of them, even if they are good. Choose the best shots and then delete the rest.
If you show or say too much of the same thing, the video starts to feel repetitive, viewers will lose interest and move on to something else. Your job is to keep the viewer engaged, even if it means cutting some of your files.
3. Stop comparing yourself to others
I’m so guilty of this and trying to get better. There are always going to be channels that are more popular, more experienced, just better than yours. You can either look at these channels for inspiration and learn from them or let them it immobilize you with self-doubt and you will never publish anything, ever.
Just remember that every channel out there started in the very same place as you: no subscribers, no views, no audience. Yes, even the channels who have over 1 million subscribers, were right where we are today.
Support each other and keep on working at it. When I learn more I’ll share it right here so be sure to subscribe. I’d love to hear from you guys, about your experiences and what you have learned so far. Comments are always welcome. Go out and do something great today. Cheers everybody.

Amazon Seller MistakesHere are the top 3 mistakes new Amazon sellers make when working with new amazon sellers. They are easy to correct and will help you grow and succeed with your Amazon Seller Account.
Why Me? The typical thing you see taught in Amazon selling courses, and in a lot of videos from supposed experts, is to sell something that is ‘small, lightweight, fits in a shoebox. Source it from China for under $5 and then mark it up etc, etc, etc... The problem is that you are trying to launch a product that has been done so many times over that you have very little opportunity to get any traction because it is nearly impossible to separate yourself from the pages and pages of identical products that fill the Amazon Store. I work with new sellers everyday and the first thing I ask them is “Why would somebody buy from you?” If they can’t answer that question with a response that makes them stand out from the crowd, I suggest they look and a different product. Ask yourself that question.
Failure to Launch. New Amazon sellers will spend a lot of time learning about Amazon and watching product videos, watching videos on how to get started on Amazon, [and] how to make money on Amazon. But in most cases they would save time and money if they just went out a did it. It’s hard to learn the nuances until you do it. For every one hour of learning, whether it’s listening to a podcast, watching a YouTube video, reading, or hanging in Facebook groups, you are losing two hours of valuable hands-on experience and losing market share opportunities because the market quickly to the point of saturation, the topic we talked about in Mistake #1. Sales Tax
This one is brutal and reveals itself in the worst of ways, and that is not having a plan for handling sales tax– or even worse, not realizing that you have to collect sales tax. A lot of sellers start off with a hobby mentality, and dip their toe in to “just see how this goes.”A lot of states–and those are the bodies that govern sales tax–they don’t see it that way. Some states even say that people who hold garage sales are supposed to collect sales tax. You really need to have a plan about what you’re going to do about sales tax before you start selling on Amazon. Don’t let a tax official tell you what you should have done. Clear all that up before you start.

How to USE VIDEO in BusinessHow to use video in business? So you want to start using video marketing in your business or to spread the word about what your doing online or about a product or service you’re offering. The ways that you can use video are endless but here are 6 rock solid and proven ways that you can easily use video to make an impact without too much extra effort.
1) Leverage user-generated content.
You may be great at telling your story, but customers can sometimes be even more effective. By showcasing how products can be used, user-generated content (UGC) can be more convincing -- and powerful -- than traditional marketing videos. Encourage customers and fans to create user-generated content by asking for it -- by hosting contests, giveaways, or otherwise incentivizing participation.
Ask people to take photos, videos, or share content on social media about how they use your products and why they love your brand -- it's more convincing than traditional advertising and can be shared on social media platforms, on landing pages, and in marketing emails.
2) Tell customer stories.
Happy customers are your best advocates, you should use customer success stories to inspire video content about your products and services. Your audience will learn that they too can achieve similar success with your products, and of course it makes for great marketing material for your emails and web site.
3) Invite the online community to participate in events.
As great as it would be, you simply can't invite our entire audience to join you for a live, in-person events. But what you can do, is offer live broadcasting options on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram. Invite your audience to participate in an event -- virtually. Live streaming content and then reposting it on different channels is a great way to make your audience happy -- and to also repurpose content.
4) Share behind-the-scenes looks or BTS.
Going behind-the-scenes is a neat way to give an audience a unique perspective on your brand personality or product. You can do this live or with messaging on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat, or you can create a pre-produced video. This content can make for great social media content, or you can use it to build rapport with leads and customers trying to learn more about your brand.
5) Explain concepts and products to your audience.
They say a picture says a thousand words, and sometimes, video is the best platform to explain a concept or define a term for your audience and users. Videos like these are helpful, easy to watch, and go a long way towards helping people succeed using your product or service. Videos like this can be used on YouTube to capture search traffic there, or can live within blog posts or your company's knowledge base to help out customers.
6) Say thank you.
Saying "thank you" can go a long way, and it can even make for compelling video content. In a short and simple video you can provide a personalized customer service experience that makes the customer feel special, acknowledges feedback, and serves as a mini-advertisement -- since the employee is talking about making a customer happy. If you're just getting started, filming short thank you videos can foster customer loyalty and build brand awareness. It is a great thing to do.

First PALMER FEST Ohio University, Athens, Ohio Original Palmerfest 1989Here's the story of the First PALMER FEST Ohio University, Athens, Ohio Original Palmerfest 1989.
Every year the university would throw a music festival on the intramural fields down by the river. It was called Springfest. And it was fun. Beer trucks outnumbered food trucks, and it was rivaled only by Halloween weekend during the late 80’s. The three weekends prior, each green would have a weekend with bands, beer and food trucks out on the main commons area of that green. East was first, West was Second and South went last. The money would then help pay for the sound staging and entertainment that went into putting on Springfest It was usually the last big hurrah before we finished up Spring quarter, our finals were typically in early June.
So in 1988, The university removed alcohol from campus events because the majority of the students were below the newly adopted drinking age of of 21. This meant that the Spring fest of 1989 had not chance of surviving this setback. They tried, The Hooters were the main act and it was as expected, sparsely attended and the writing was on the wall for Springfest.
The vibe among the student body was to say fuck-it let’s do it anyway and big house parties were getting planned to fill in the blank. And all of us in the Athens music community we were in the know because a lot of these parties needed bands and sound systems. So The police got wind of the organizing that was going on and made a public notice that all big parties would be heavily scrutinized and most likely shutdown that weekend, especially those a bands because they tended to be the more difficult to manage as far as numbers and noise..
My house was 4 Palmer and the girls next door lived in 6 and 6.5. We decided to throw a party. So I spent several weeks and weekends prior to fest day, collecting whatever building materials I could “find”, built a stage behind the house at 6 Palmer Street. And We all pooled our money and purchased 16 kegs, got a band and spread the news.
So what happened that night of the party was the cops got so busy dealing with parties on the west side of town cause the bulk of them were on the west side of town, that they left us alone way out on Palmer, at that time Palmer was considered out there. It was on the fringe so we were the last of the worries for the police force they had that night. So the party started growing and blowing up...exponential... It blew up like one of those Midwestern thunderstorms time-lapses you see on the weather channel.
People are rolling in, sun goes down, stage lights come up, band goes on, and it’s on.
16 kegs man, we had 16 kegs. That was a big party for OU...and all of them were blowing foam at 9:30 PM. that’s how many people were there. and I thought, we are fucked, but the people rallied, like Bobcats do and we emptied the drive thru at the end of the road...as the other parties were shut down they rolled down hill to Palmer and it quickly felt too big....I knew I might have a problem when my dog showed up wearing a glow necklace and I asked my girlfriend at the time where’d this come from and she said there are some guys selling them. A couple dudes showed up with extra things they brought to bootleg at the official Springfest, they obviously didn’t do all that well and they found our party, set-up shop and sold out..
So the cops showed up around 10:00 and took me off to the side and said they were reluctant to pull the plug with that many people and we needed to turn it down and contain. Everything had to be behind the sidewalk. Actually they didn’t have the manpower yet in the area, to deal with it if it was to shut down and turn ugly. So they gave me time to wind it up and said they would be back to arrest people at 11:00.
I told the band to jump to the back half of their third set. Because we need to finish this up. They crushed it and it wrapped. No one got arrested.
8 Tips for True Love - How will you meet your TRUE LOVE?WEB: http://robbjarrett.com
Today I’m talking about how to find love, friendship, companionship, you know that relationship, that no matter what happens, it feels like it’s going to be OK.||| Humans need three things to survive, in this order. Water, Shelter, and Food. After that the first thing they look for is companionship. Those first three are dependent on many outside, physical and environmental variables. The this fourth one, companionship/relationship, can oftentimes be the most elusive and difficult thing to find and maintain, but fortunately, it is something we all have a great deal of control over. Who you are, and how you treat yourself will determine more about your current and future relationships than anything else. Most of what it takes to find true love is done before you ever meet “that special person.” Here are eight things you must master before you’ll find true love in your life:
Morning Motivation - How To HAVE A GREAT DAY!WEB: http://robbjarrett.com
Hey what is up everybody. Today I’m talking about how to make the most of everyday, even Mondays. Here are some simple ways to make the most of every day.
You are not “inferior” to any other person on this planet. If there is person you feel inferior to? Get it out of your head. They are not luckier than you. Their brain is not smarter than yours. They are not blessed with a human skill set that you can’t develop. Successful people did not get where they are by sheer luck? The difference between winners and losers is simple. Winners keep moving forward no matter what obstacles they face while losers give up at the first real challenge they come up against, they then sit around and complain the game it rigged. You don’t lose until you quit...and quitting is up to you.
Slow down and soak it up. The world will not end if you have to stand in line at the grocery store. Driving like a dumbass to save two minutes makes you and dumbass. Pulling on your dogs leash and asking them to hurry up, is insane, since that dog spends most of its life waiting for you to do something with it. Exercise patience and I think you will be surprised at the world you see around you. Take some time to give yourself a much-needed break from the constant hustle of your daily grind. Take a deep breathe, turn off your inner-static, and take a moment to simply be. Meditation is a fantastic habit to get into. I’m going to talk more about that in another podcast.
View yourself through the eyes of another. Any time there is tension between you and another person, take a moment to look at the issue from their perspective. This simple action will offer a fresh perspective that will help you avoid pointless arguments over nothing.
Be grateful for what is right in front of you. When is the last time you expressed gratitude for all that you have. And the opportunities you have before you. It is easy to take things for granted when we don’t pay attention. I’m happy and grateful that every day is another opportunity to do it again. And I remind myself that I have Water, shelter, food and companionship. A year into it and I’m still not sure I’m thankful for the dog that I have, but we are working on it. The next time you are feeling down, grab a notebook or pull up a Word Document and make a list of the many things that you are grateful for. You might not realize it right this second, but I bet you have a lot of great things going on in your life.
Stay true to your authentic self.Your daily life is not a theatrical performance, so stop treating it like one. Don’t become a character that you think fits in to your current surroundings. Life is not a charade? People are amazing when they are genuine. Share your unique thoughts, ideas, quirks, and personality traits with the world and without any shame.
No one cares how much “stuff” you have. No one is impressed by your bank account, wardrobe, or elegant choice of home decor. Sure, you might get some “oohs” and “ahhs” the instant you show off your stuff, but do you think these people are so impressed that they think any better of you for it? Live with truth and integrity. Show the world you care through your words, actions, and behaviors. The size of your bank account and the style of your outfit impress no one. You know what is impressive? It is someone of beautiful and strong character.
Don’t merely expect more from life. Demand it. While you are complaining about how unfair your situation is, other people are hustling hard in the direction they desire. Wishing with all of your might will do nothing to improve your life if you’re not willing to back up your words with action.
The things that are most challenging are often the things that prove to be most rewarding. Just because something is difficult doesn’t mean it isn’t worth doing. Raising a child is harder than any job I know, but it also comes with an incredible amount of satisfaction. Seeing a baby grow up to become a passionate and productive adult is amazing. Any ambitious goal that requires a lot of time or effort is going to be far more rewarding than the simple things that are easy to accomplish. If its easy, anyone can do it. Don’t be everyone.
Exercise your power of belief and crush it. “I’ll try” is a weak statement that should never be used. Replace it with I will, because we as human beings are capable of accomplishing anything we set our mind to.
